Location:            Winsford (hybrid working)
Hours:                37 hours per week
Duration:            Fixed Term to 31st March 2026 (Extension subject to funding)
Salary:               £35,000 per annum / pro rata

Reporting to the Cheshire and Warrington local authorities, the role of Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington ( ECW) is to support Cheshire and Warrington's elected leaders to make C&W the healthiest, most sustainable inclusive and growing place in the country by

  • Providing strategic economic planning
  • Delivery of key government programmes; and
  • Ensuring that a strong, independent business voice is reflected in the advice ECW provides to elected leaders

Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. Skills Bootcamps support ECW’s social and economic objectives of delivering a sustainable, healthy, inclusive and growing economy.                                                    

After receiving over £3.2M since it’s successful launch in 2022, ECW has been awarded a further £9 million from the Department for Education (DfE) to deliver Skills Bootcamps to over 2630 learners in Cheshire and Warrington from April 2025; and we are expanding our operational team to deliver this programme.

The Role

To work to ensure successful delivery of the Skills Bootcamp programme within Cheshire & Warrington, ensuring high quality of success, delivery, teaching and alignment to the local labour market.

To increase the profile and promote the Skills Bootcamp programme to learners, employers and training providers via networking events and careers fairs.

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills will be important for completion of regular tasks, Microsoft PowerBi skills would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills with a tenacity in seeing more challenging tasks through to completion, are critical to the success of this role. Some programme finance experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Support the Quality and Operations Manager with the running of the day-to-day operations of all live Skills Bootcamps within Cheshire & Warrington, including:
    1. Helping to manage the network of training providers , ensuring high quality in delivery and that they meet the necessary outcomes for the learner graduates, whether that be a new job/role/contracts/opportunities etc.
    2. Building relationships with several Training Providers by regularly visiting site to understand and view their operation.
  2. Technical lead to support development of a pipeline of robust Skills Bootcamp proposals that meet the needs of our local labour market and align with the Cheshire & Warrington skills priorities. This will also include the assessment of all Skills Bootcamp applications, including thorough assessment of the application’s scope, suitability and approach to quality.
  3. Requesting and gathering case studies and testimonials from graduate learners and employers to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Skills Bootcamp Programme and to assist with the marketing of the programme.
  4. To lead on the analysis of the data and labour market information, to ensure:
    1. The programme team have a clear understanding of priority Skills Bootcamp areas to implement.
