Cheshire and Warrington is one of the UK’s economic success stories and the most productive economy in the North of England.
Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington (ECW), a council-owned organisation, works alongside elected leaders to make the region the healthiest, most sustainable, inclusive, and growing place in the country.
We collaborate with the three local councils, industry leaders, and community partners to shape economic and transport strategies, deliver skills training and business support, and ensure that the voice of business is heard in local decision-making.
Through its Marketing Cheshire division, ECW also champions the region as an outstanding place to live, work, invest, study, and visit.

Skills and Education
Skills Bootcamps will support Cheshire + Warrington’s social and economic objectives of delivering a sustainable, healthy, inclusive and growing economy. We have been awarded a further £2m from the Department for Education to deliver Skills Bootcamps to over 640 learners in Cheshire and Warrington between April 2024 and March 2025.

For our sustainability vision, Cheshire + Warrington has the knowledge, expertise and opportunity to become a world leader in zero carbon energy technology and innovation, building on decades of industry-leading experience in energy distribution systems, fuels and nuclear engineering and design. Therefore Enterprise Cheshire + Warrington. is partner to and leading on a number of projects and initiatives to generate sustainable and inclusive growth in the subregion and to assist wider local partners including local authorities in achieving Net Zero targets.

Through the Growth Hub, Enterprise Cheshire + Warrington works with businesses to grow in our sub-region and helps individuals to start a business. We work closely with partners to ensure that businesses receive the support they need including export support, apprenticeship support and innovation support.

Visitor Economy
Marketing Cheshire is the destination management organisation for Cheshire + Warrington. They are responsible for building an effective tourism and place marketing strategy, promoting the sub-region nationally and internationally to business and leisure visitors, and investors.
